All I want for Christmas is an Ubuntu laptop reliably resuming from sleep every time. Is that too much to ask for?
I recently had the privilege of attending a meet-and-greet with the U.S. ambassador to Denmark, Alan Leventhal and his wonderful wife, Sherry. He is an absolutely impressive man with a lot of great stories to tell.
Although I am not usually one to get starstruck, shaking hands with him was likely the closest I will ever get to a U.S. President and that felt astounding somehow.
I did feel a bit sorry for him getting bombarded with election questions instead of focusing on the work he's doing.

PSA: The current nvidia-driver-560-open dpkg (560.35.03-0ubuntu0~gpu24.04.2) on #Ubuntu 24.04 LTS is wonky and makes Steam and Chrome hang on both Wayland and X11.
Just got a #HomeAssistant Green box and although the onboarding part was rough to say the least, it seems to work really well after I managed to get it fully updated.
I think providing a method for getting it updated before performing the onboarding step would provide a much better user experience.
That's not an easy issue to solve with currently stocked boxes though. The one I received had an early 2023 version.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Tom Holland was the wrong choice for the Uncharted movie. Nathan Fillion would have made the movie so much better.
Have you tried turning it off and on again. 15 times.
After 1 day I absolutely loathe the time registration hell the EU has forced upon me.
Chrome window overdrawn onto the secondary monitor and below the current screen was quite annoying. But it's fixed now with 126.0.6478.114. 🥳
